Stride Property is an NZX listed investor and manager of New Zealand commercial, retail and industrial real estate. Due to rapid growth in its portfolio, and strong confidence in its future, the company changed its name from DNZ to ‘Stride’, and with it adopted a new brand strategy. The new strategy puts people and their relationship with the company’s properties firmly at the centre of its operating philosophy.

The design solution for the new brand identity references the shapes and forms seen in property and master planning. The patterns take inspiration from Piet Mondrian’s energetic depictions of Manhattan city grids and allude to the vibrant commercial spaces that the company foster.

A distinctive wordmark, which suggests grids and construction, was created using simple geometric shapes, the unique result aptly representing the company’s diverse portfolio.

The bold new purple colour palette was selected to differentiate Stride from the market, and a clean, formal visual language is contrasted with a series of bold patterns that bring the colour palette to life.
